Cats being
put to sleep because owners are
emigrating- Can any one help ,they are so gorgeous? Do you know anyone in
CT |
|
Western Cape
Attached are pics of the brothers being put
to sleep, they are already at the vet and
the vet has given us until the 29th to place
them, they are both neutered, their
inoculations are up to date and they are
very close so I would LOVE to place them
together
Here is what the owner has to say about
them.......”Tabby and Oliver have been with
us for 5 years. They are both alley cats but
act like the kings of castles. They are both
healthy and vaccinations are up to date.
They are two cats with spunky personalities.
Oliver is a protector of his territory and
is very funny. Tabby is a great friend and
mole catcher. Both cats are use to dogs and
birds.”
Please...this is very urgent, should anybody
be willing to either adopt or foster these
boys contact me urgently on 083 2694304 or
email me on

Unneutered male brown tabby was
found in Lorraine, Port Elizabeth |
|
This unneutered
male brown tabby was found in
Lorraine, Port Elizabeth on Tuesday
20th July 2010. He looks to be
around 3 years old and is a very
large cat. The lady who found him
said he had been hanging around for
the last 4 months, so he could have
been missing that long or even
longer. He is very friendly
beautiful cat and once neutered
should settle down.
I am currently fostering him until
we can find his owner or a good
home. If you can help please

Cleopatra
+ Satine |
|
Cleopatra and Satine need a lovable home
Cleo is a ruddy Abyssinian. I got her to
keep Satine company when Satine's sister got
poisoned - I do not believe kitties should
be alone. They keep each other company. Cleo
really brought Satine back
to life, playing, running, and chasing each
other around like youngsters. Cleo is around
two years old now.
She is very strong and very active. In the
morning after I feed them she disappears,
probably to go hunting. She is an avid
birder and frequently brings home lizards.
She has the most beautiful voice and will
call you to come and be proud of her when
she brings you food. And in the morning when
she is hungry, when she finds I'm awake, she
has the most soft, gentle way of asking for
food.
She is very independent, and will let you
know when she needs affection. Then she can
be quite insistent. She can give quite a
head butt if you try to ignore her. She will
mill around, lapping up all the attention
you
can give, purring away loudly, until she
feels she's had enough, and then she will be
on her way again. She is not a lap cat. She
also does not like to be covered, or to be
in a cage (such as when she has to go to
the vet). She likes her freedom.
All her vaccinations are up to date. They
come with jungle gym, blankies, toys, etc -

Tomcat - Windermere road,
Morningside |
|
I found a young tomcat, pure white with
gold/amber eyes and a lovely nature…. in
Windermere road, Morningside, DURBAN on
Friday 23rd July 2010…the car guard said
he’d seen the cat since Monday morning, but
not before that, so, I guess he went missing
some time before Monday 19th July 2010.
He is approx. 7 months old and very
friendly, loving and talkative – but
distressingly, not microchipped or otherwise
identifiable.
I have had him vaccinated etc. as a
precaution with my local vet, but didn’t
have the heart to leave him at the SPCA.
We’re currently looking after him in our
home, but it has to be a temporary measure
because it’s quite stressful to our three
pampered Siamese to have a stranger in their
midst, so we’d really prefer to find his
owners or a new home for him…he honestly
deserves a loving home

TRAGIC STORY
- TWO CATS NEED HOME URGENTLY |
|
Hi All,
It is with great sadness that I am looking for homes for these gorgeous kitties
below, their owner passed away last weekend being my brothers fiance' and there
is no one that can home them currently due to complex/townhouse restrictions.
Phoebe directly below is a female and has the most amazing nature, she is very
independant and loving at the same time. The twins (Gizmo and Doby) are also
females and inseperable and would be great if we could get them a home that
they can live together in.
I know in this day and age it is hard to just take in pets but please please I
would so appreciate any help at all to find them homes. They really loved their
mommy who passed away at the young age of 24 last weekend and they need a
loving home to fill the hole they now have in their hearts ;-(
PS - the kitty gym as pictured above will be donated with the kittens
If interested and want to meet the darling kitties please contact me on 084 311

Another
injured mine cat! |
|
A while ago we shared with you the story about a seriously
wounded cat that we trapped on a coal mine close to Witbank. One of her legs
was hanging on a string and the other leg had serious wounds.
We have found another cat on this mine, WITH VERY SIMILAR INJURIES! Her one leg
was also hanging on a string, and the other foot was cut off completely. This
poor cats injuries also happened some time ago, and it is just a miracle that
she is still alive!
Again, we had a difficult decision to make, but yet again we decided that it
would be a crime to euthanize a cat that has survived for SO long, with SUCH
severe injuries. She clearly had a very strong will TO LIVE!
The only conclusion is that the cats are caught somehow in the machinery at the
mine, a serious reason for concern. The cats are clearly not safe at this mine,
and this is the reason why we are so DESPERATE to have our own premises where
we can build a huge feral sanctuary for ferals whose lives are in danger where
they stay.

On the operating table at Dr. Shelagh Hahn

Making excellent progress in the loving care of Melanie, Dr. Hahns assistant
She is now looking for a loving home! She is not feral any more, she is a very
sweet and loving cat. If you can give this special kitty a good home, please
contact us.
Please help us to help them by making a kind donation and please forward this
e-mail to all your friends and family?
Thank you.
Kind regards,
Merinda

Good Home
Wanted for two kittens |
|
Dear All
I am looking for a good home for Ophelia and
Oberon. They are Tara’s kittens and since
she has had them, April when she first had
her accident, they have lived at my house! I
don’t do cats! Now we are faced with another
10 weeks of her living with me and I just
cannot do the cats any longer! They have had
their vaccinations, they have a litter, food
and water bowls, toys and I will provide
food for a month. Please, if you know of
anyone who is a cat lover and we would
prefer not to split them now, but recognise
we may have to, give them my number 083 459

Many thanks

Malorie or
Mickey - Durban |
|
Craig, who lives in Durban,
was given two kitten by his ex wife for his
kids to enjoy when they stay with him, the
cats are now nearly 8 months old. However,
it is not working out. He is travelling away
on business more and more frequently which
means the cats are left for long periods of
time on their own. They are also not able to
get out into the garden, he stays in an
appartment in a complex and the cats are
unable to out, so they are couped up in the
apartment and are showing signs of
frustration. They are defacting on the
lounge suite and floors despite having a
litter box. He has recently had the male cat
neutered and has been spraying his couches
with "footsack" but nothing has helped.
He was leaving his bedroom window open to
give them access to the small balcony so
they could have a bit of fresh air and
sunshine but he had a second attempted
breakin last night, which means he will have
no choice but to keep all the windows closed
when he is out. He is rather frantic to find
a new home for the cats (either together or
seperately) as soon as possible, as he is
away on a conference from Monday to Friday
next week. We have both emailed the message
& pictures below to all our friends and
posted on facebook and as yet have been
unable to find a home for Malorie or Mickey.
Many thanks

giant snauzer |
|
This Snauzer was picked up
on the N1, she stayed with her rescuers for
a while, but her dogs didn't like the new
commer, she then was given to a family who
wanted her, but now they claim they do not
want her anymore as she is too naughty, she
digs, she scratched the guy's car. I just
think this dog is most probably alone all
day and she needs a friend and some love and
training. +- 2 - 3 Year.

cat dumped in
CT docks |
|
Hi there, one minute I'm in a nice house and
the next I get dumped in the middle of Cape
Town docks. Luckily Aunty Rosemary saw me on
Saturday night when she was feeding all the
poor souls that I had recently met. I got
hugs and cuddles and she let me walk in to
her car. On Sunday I was taken to Wenga Farm
where the doctor is going to check me out -
don't know why as I feel fine. But they say
it's best that I get my injections and
checked out. Aunty Jan says I'm the best
purrer in town and SO pretty and that I
deserve a loving home.
The Aunties have named me Abbey and if you
can give me a loving home please contact my
Carers at Wenga Farm - Tears
(cattery@tears.org.za).
I will reward you with purrs
and affection - and of course my wonderful
company.
Purrfully yours
Abbey
Thanks everyone, if Abbey doesn't get homed
soon you will also be able to see her at the
Siamese Breeders Group Show at the Leibrandt
Van Niekerk Hall, Table View, on 24 July
where Tears will be hoping to home her and
some of their cats.
See you there!

they have almost fully recovered!!
They still have daily physio, but
we expect them to make a full

well with other dogs. She is about

The last picture is of an
absolutely beautiful boy we have,
he is a black Lab about 2-3 years
old, and he would be your best

fantastic companion

Mom and
kittens |
|
I have a mother cat and four kittens for
which I must find homes. She is a stray who
“adopted “ us before she had the kittens.
Unfortunately, my two cats will not accept
her and I am forced to home her and the
kittens. She is a tortoiseshell, mostly
white with lovely black and ginger markings.
She has two white kittens with black
markings, one grey tabby and a black kitten
with a white tummy.
I wish I could keep them but my cats just
will not accept them and still fight all the
time . I have her and the kittens in my
spare bedroom where I can keep them safe.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP! Otherwise I will have to
take them to the SPCA and I do not want to
do that. I have also emailed Friens of the
Cat but to date no response.

Kitten
looking for a home |
|
We found a little kitten last night no more
than 5 weeks old. Been caught in a snare.
Huge gash under tummy and hair under arms
and back all rubbed off. Multiple breaks in
tail. But oh so sweet and loving and just
purrs non stop and wants to cuddle in your
jersey. She kneeds you and tries to suckle.
Shows how trusting animals are. She is
looking for a special home. She is a little
tabby with spots on her tummy.

Foster
home for 4 cats needed for two
months (Boksburg/Joburg) |
|
We have four angels which we brought up from Cape town due to having to
relocate, at present we are staying with my daughter and we cannot
Have the cats with us due to my daughters dogs.
We do not want to lose our babies, but at the present time we cannot afford the
costs of cattery fees, and we really need help for a couple of months until we
are in our own place again.
We will however be willing to allow Cleo the Siamese in picture 124 to go to a
good permanent home if there is one available as she does not do well with
constant moving and would rather have her settled and safe than stressed out
and running away.
Please can you send this email out as you said to all your contacts and foster
homes, and we can only hope and pray that we will be able to find help in our
time of need.
We are currently staying in Boksburg close to the airport. So we would like to
be able to get somewhere not to far so I can see my babies an a regular basis,
and we would supply the necessary food for them. And would be willing to make a
small donation every month to help.
You can contact me via email, and my email address can be given out for
feedback acres100@absamail.co.za

Please help
sweet tabby boy (Pta?) |
|
I'm a young tabby boy with a
loving, sweet nature, and I'm desperately
looking for a good home. Until the day I was
rescued, I never had a roof over my head or
proper food to eat. I used to sleep in a
box, and I had to search for food every day
just to survive. Shortly before I was
rescued it started to become really cold.
The nights were extreme - it was icy cold,
and the box that I slept in barely made a
difference. I've been staying at a vet for
the past few weeks. They've been so kind to
me here - I have shelter and food, and love
and attention come my way each and every
day.
Wow! Sadly I can't stay here forever. I'm
wishing and praying that someone would be
kind enough to adopt me. If I don't find a
home, I'll have to go back to where I came
from. I will once again have to deal with
hunger, cold, fear and loneliness. Please
help me find a home. I've been sterilized,
dewormed and inoculated. If you would like
to give me a home, please contact Mia on 082

DESPERATELY
URGENT NOW!!! DEADLINE STRICTLY
30TH JUNE.
9 have found homes 12 still need
homes |
|
Annita
has been trying to hope Rose find temporary
or permanent homes for these cats. So far
Annita has successfully found homes for 9 of
them. There are still 12 cats needing foster
or permanent homes. Their deadline is the
evening of 30 June (this Wednesday) as the
SPCA is arriving first thing on the 1 July
to take the remaining cats for euthanasia.
All the remaining cats are female.
Please, we are desperately looking for the
following help in the next 3 days:
1. Permanent or Foster homes for these cats
– even if only for a week or two to give us
time to find them homes before they are
euthanased. If you can take 1 or 2 cats and
care for them for a week or two that would
be the answer to a prayer.
2. Help with transporting the cats to their
new homes between now and Wednesday (they
are currently in the south of Jhb –
Steeldale – and will need to be taken to
wherever their new homes are).
3. Help with food/litter trays/cat litter.
Please contact Annita asap if you are able
to help in any way. Annita’s phone number is

TORTIE,
JO'BURG - URGENT |
|
Dusty was with me for 10 months. She hated
all the other cats and lived in my
neighbours roof for two months. Then she was
adopted by Claire & CJ. In the beginning
everything went well, then she moved out of
the house and into the laundry because of
the other cats.
About 4 weeks ago she was adopted by a lady
who lives in Claire’s area, but she has now
started attacking this lady’s other kitties.
I need to find her a foster home or
permanent home urgently, where she is the
only kitty or maybe with one other cat. She
did grow up with other cat, but Sissy was
quite cheeky, so would have swotted Dusty if
she tried anything. From all this moving
around she must be traumatized a bit and
needs patience, love and understanding.
If you can offer Dusty a foster home in the
meantime or even better, a permanent home
(she has been moved so often) please let me
know urgently or contact Leigh at
purzandpawz@gmail.com who will get
in touch with me.

GAUTENG - Nikita & Atreya |
|
OWNER EMIGRATING
1 Female(8)-Nikita and 1 male(6)Atreyu, both
have been fixed. They have wonderful
personalities and are very affectionate.
They are both used to children as I have a
daughter and a nephew who think that cats
taste nice. They have never lashed out in
anger and merely disappear whenever the
children have been too much for them. They
are both wary of dogs as our Labrador
thought they were perfect for chasing around
the garden however they got along very well
with our more mature Alsatian. They are not
particularly attached to each other and the
only time I have ever been able to get them
to pose for one photograph is the one that
is attached. They are not very adept at
catching birds or rats and would much rather
laze around in the sun. They are used to
living inside and outside as they were both
with us when we lived in a townhouse.
Hopefully you can help us with finding a
home for our cats as we would really be
unhappy about sending them to the SPCA.
If that was the only call I would prefer to
be responsible for euthanasia route as I
feel it is my responsibility to see them out
with dignity instead of hardship.
Thank you once again

waiting for someone to adopt him. He is a
very loving boy and needs to be in a home
instead of a cage. Can someone please offer
this boy a home?

Hi
We have this beautiful black neutered male
cat with us at the clinic. He was brought in
as a stray over a month ago and nobody has
claimed him. I have been threw the spca list
and all vets in the area and we cant seem to
find his owners. He is an extremly
affectionate cat but unfortunatly being
cooped up in that cage is killing his mind.
Please please can we try find him a good
home, also very weary of who takes him as we
all know the superstition that goes with
black cats!

Two beautiful
male cats looking for a home
together - food incl |
|
My husband and I bought our
flat last year in hope of settling down. We
did not check the Body Corporate rules and
as there was a dog in the front apartment,
we assumed we could bring our cats with us
when we chose the apartment. After a long
ugly battle with our Body Corporate about us
keeping our cats since October last year,
they are taking the matter to the Body
Corporate attorney and the process is
looking like a very expensive procedure.
I love my cats like my own children but
after many discussions with our attorney,
although our case is strong, there is a
chance that we will lose the case and the
financial implications are huge. My new
husband and I can't move and so I have to
either find them a home or put them down.
This is an extremely difficult decision and
so I would prefer to find the right home for
them together because they are brothers. I
have until the end of the month to sort this
out, so any help would be appreciated. They
have strong personalities and are so much
fun.
They are both very healthy fit gorgeous male
cats. Kahn is five years old and Baloo is
almost two years. They have such loving
natures and are seriously people orientated.
They have only ever eaten Hills Science diet
and are well trained. We will pay for their
first 3 months litter and food upfront.
Both boys are neutered and have had their
relevant inoculations.
Please could you send this out to anyone who
may be interested in having pets. They can
call me on 082 444 6639. We live in Mouille
Point, Cape Town.
Kind regards,
Amanda Vadas

Foster
Kitties |
|
Hi all,
The mommy of one of my foster kitties went
through a divorce recently. In the process
she has had to move in with others and could
not take het kitties with.
They are currently staying with her sons,
but they can only keep the black kitty (her
son’s). The other 2 desperately need to find
homes! I cannot take them in, as I have 5 of
my own. Please send to all in your network,
I am sure someone out there will offer them
a loving home. It would be great if they
could be placed together, but if they have
to be separated, it will also be OK. As long
as they can find good, loving homes.
The tortie is a girl and the black-and-white
a boy, both sterilised.

little feral
|
|
Hi everyone, please would
you all focus your thoughts and efforts on
finding this little feral (tame enough to be
picked up) a home? She is not living in a
safe place.
Ansie has been looking after 2 ferals at a
school in PTA for a while now, but sadly the
one (black & white) was found dead one
morning, possibly run over by a car L
If there is anyone who can offer the
remaining (grey & cream) female kitty a
loveable home please can they email Ansie
Venter
(ansie_venter@yahoo.com).
The kitty has become very human friendly and
Ansie is even prepared to pay for the
sterilization.
(And remember that an adult
cat that is rehomed, needs to be kept
strictly indoors for two weeks, confined to
one room at first, gradually introduced to
other pets and after two weeks to the
outside world under supervision. Always
deliver the cat to the new home yourself, to
make sure that it is ok! See the CatPals
website at
www.catpals.co.za for further
details about rehoming cats – klick on the

MAX & LOLA,
Joburg |
|
Hi Everyone
This two gorgeous siblings need to find a
new forever home by the end of June 2010.
Please forward their info to all your
contacts.
If you like large cats with a character of
note, then these babies will fill your home
with everything you could possibly wish for.
Here is Max and Lola’s info:
Max and Lola are two short haired domestics,
they were feral, and we managed to tame
them. Max is a big boy, grey and white, who
weighs a whopping 9.5kg’s. He is VERY
affectionate and tries to help with whatever
you do. If you are sick, he will not leave
your side. He likes to play fetch. Lola is
his beautiful sister, also not a small cat
in comparison to average cats. She is the
tabby and an absolute princess. She is still
a bit skittish and doesn’t trust easily, but
when she does, she loves entirely. She loves
music and often sings along.
They are both indoor cats, and have never
been outdoors before.
They love each other VERY much as you can
see in the pictures, so we’d really like
them to stay together, and not be separated.
If you would like to view or adopt Max and
Lola, please contact Angelique on
072-4351129 or 011-2831081 (W) or
Angelique.Telo@standardbank.co.za. They are
situated in Edenvale, Johannesburg.

Raven &
Siannet |
|
This pains me to have to contact you guys
but I have 2 beautiful cats that I need to
put up for adoption. My brother and his
family immigrated to the UK and left me to
look after their animals (5 dogs, 2 cats and
2 birds) while they tried to settle and make
a plan to get the animals across. In the
beginning it was fine as I lived in a house
and had a HUGE garden. So 12 animals (with
my own) was no problem. However I was given
notice and even though my brother and them
tried to find alternative homes for all the
animals, the 2 cats, Raven and Sianne ended
up moving with me to my new town house. The
problem is that the contract states that I
am only allowed 2 pets. Currently I have 5!!
So I have now received a warning from my
care taker and I am having to find homes for
Raven and Sianne!
Cat Name: Raven & Sianne (Mother & Daughter)
Short Description: Sianne is a bit skitish,
gentle and shy but once she knows you she is
very loving and trust me she creeps into
your heart in a matter of days. Raven on the
other hand is adventurous and loves the
outdoors and exploring, she definitely owns
you! But she is also very loving and has a
sweet side to her too! Both cats are fixed
so no additional costs involved there.
PLEASE let me know if you would be able to
help me because I have contacted Wetnose,
Catzrus and other places and they say they
are full L

shelter and/or new homes,
Olifantsfontein (Pta/Kempton Park) |

Hi everyone,
I've just received a call from a gal who is
in dire straits. It sounds as thought her
life has come crashing down around her, and
she has to leave her present home with no
alternative home yet in sight.
She has let all 3 her female cats have
litters due to lack of funds, and now needs
either temporary shelter for the 3 feline
families and/or permanent new homes if
available. The 3 families are as follows:
Mommy 1: kittens 3 weeks old
Mommy 2: kittens 5 weeks old
Mommy 3: kittens 8 weeks old
She has no facilities to send us pics at
this stage, but will deliver the cats to
anyone who can help.
Can anyone help? If you can, please contact

Abandoned
mommy cat |
|

|
I rescued and abondoned mommy cat (see
pictures attached) and her four kittens
about two weeks ago. Thankfully, the four
kittens have been homed, but no-one is
interested in mom. I had her spayed and
dewormed last Monday (hoping this would make
her more attractive to potential candidates)
and she's incredibly young - about 6-8
months.
I have 5 cats, who are not taking to her and
a tempramental rottweiler who just wants to
bite her all the time! It's chaos in this
house! So I can't keep her and the SPCA is
certainly NOT an option.
Do you know of anyone who has place in their
hearts and homes for her? I'm at my wits-end
right now as I really don't know what to do!
Please e-mail me at tarryn.parker@gmail.com
or contact me on 082 448 3945 if you know of
anyone. I've also placed an album open to
the public on Facebook (You can search under

MAYA needs
you |
|

|
Hi everyone -
This is Maya (we’ve decided to call her Maya
because of her exotic looks). She’s most
probably a Russian Blue, and was found
wandering two weeks ago, hungry and lost, in
the streets of Albertville. She was brought
to Bounty Hunters in Melville, whereafter
Gail contacted all the vets in the area, but
nobody could help to find her owners. So now
she needs a new home. She is very
affectionate and every time I’ve visited
her, she came to me and plonked herself
right down in my lap, where she stayed for
the entire visit, purring and kneading. She
is a true stunner.
Maya has been isolated from the few other
cats in the charity shop, so we don’t know
how she would react to other cats. It would
be advisable to home her in a stress-free
environment, where she can adapt at her own
pace.
Please find it in your heart to give
beautiful sad Maya a new forever home. Call
Gail or Scott on 011 482 6094 for details.
If you call today and there’s no answer, it
might be that they’re now closed on Mondays
– so please give them a call tomorrow if you
can’t get hold of them today.

Exquisite
calico kitten, Jo'burg |
|

|
Hi Everyone
Please forward this stunning kitty’s photo
and info. She is looking for a permanent
home and is situated in Johannesburg.
Eckhard writes:
Please help a kitten that was dumped at the
Fourways Mall on Wednesday 14 April (then
about 8 weeks old).
She’s long legged, slinky, and white with
funky grey and pale ginger spots and dainty
Cinderella paws - all the looks of a
promising model in the feline world. The
catwalk must have been made for her.
In return for a home and lots of spoiling,
she’ll purr, occasionally meow (she has
quite a vocabulary), give you a kiss on the
nose, stroke your cheeks with soft velvet
paws, and just sit with you for company.
They say, he who never spoils a cat will
never know the rewards of a spoilt cat. So
please help! She deserves something better
than one of them shelters for the down and
out.

Miss Tiggah

I am leaving South
Africa permanently and am unable to take my
two much loved female cats with. I saved
them from the stormwater drains about 2.5
years ago. They are both spayed and have
great personalities. THey grew up in a home
with no children, so they aren't used to
noise and small kids. PLEASE could you help?
I have to be out of my house by 1 June and
despite trying, cannot find the a home - I
would not want them to go where they wont be
happy.
I attach there pictures - Miss Tiggah is the
stripey one - she is a real ballerina and
Yin Yang the black and white. She loves
water and cuddling with one in bed at night.

Two calicos
Gummy & Clio need a home by the end

live in a lovely cottage with our parents.
We love making friends with people and other
animals in our neighbourhood.
Gummy enjoys sleeping in during the day and
Clio spends most of her days lazing around
outside in the big garden.
We are used to lots of space and we eat
Hills food and drink water.
Frontline helps us with fleas and we are
de-wormed regularly. Our parents even give
us a bath now and again.
We are up for adoption because our parents
are moving into a townhouse where kitty cats
aren't allowed to live. We need to find a
new home and family before the end of
May'10. We are the best of friends and
besides that can't be separated because we
are sisters and have been together since
birth.
If you would like to view or adopt the
girls, please contact Philip on 072-9335916

URGENT: MOMMY
CAT AND GINGER KITTEN, PTA |
|
These two kitties desperately need to find
homes as soon as possible.
The multicoloured one is the female mommy
cat and the ginger kitten is a male.
He is about 14 weeks old now. They are
adventurous and fun and very loving and
caring and need a good loving caring home to
call their own.
We urgently need to home them both. I found
a home for the black and white one. I cannot
get the pictures through to you from my
iburst and i cannot send the pictures to my
gmail account either. I will keep trying.
Thank you.

while to bond
with you, but once you have bonded, she is
incredibly talkative and incredibly

Bella the cat
(Jo'burg?) |
|
Her
eyes are actually siamese blue- but the
camera reflected red/brown
I am relocating to Australia and cannot
afford to relocate her with me.
The cats also have spend a huge time in
quarantine in Sydney and Ill be in Brisbane
which means I cant even visit her, I feel
its unfair to Bella, (even though it breaks
my heart)
I am looking for a loving home, preferrably
an older person who is in need of a
companion, where she has company of the pet
owner most of the day, cause she likes to
talk. Also someone who can afford to feed
her Whiskas pellets and soft food.
Age: 9 Months
Sex: Female
Breed: Short Haired cat, possibly with some
siamese in her and she also has a kink in
the top of her tail.
Colour: White with some tan and darker
markings- her tail has dark rings and a
black coloured tip.
Eyes: Siamese Blue
Name: Bella Donna.
Food: Whiskas pellets and sodft food- likes
the Whiskas fish the most
Feeding times: early in the morning and at
six at night
Toilet: Fully toilet trained- uses a cat
litter box
Vaccinated: Yes
Personality:
* Greets me at the door with lots of miaows
and I pick her up and hug her and kiss the
back of her ear.
* Talkative and greets you and calls you
during the day with a "miaow-iow". I answer
her with a "iow-iow"
* Very protective over myself and my
daughter
* Doesn't like strangers and will hiss at
them until she gets to know them
* She has been raised in a flat.
* She doesn't like change.
* She likes boxes, string, small sponges,
small balls which she plays with
* Loves sitting on edge of bath when one
baths
* Likes drinking clean water out of the bath
( I open the tap to let a small amount in to
cover the plug.)
* She also likes the little bit of left over
cereal milk in my cereal bowl in the morning
* Likes hiding in cupboards
* Likes playing hide and go seek
* Uses a cat scratch post
* Likes to sit on top of my head when I
climb in bed and sucks her paw for about a
minute and then climbs on top a chest of
drawers to sleep
* She has her own basket in which she sleeps
during the day
* Likes to sit on window sill and watch the
birds
* We do bath her and also she is used to the
hair-dryer, I dry her with it
I only want the best for her and if no home
can be found, then I will have to consider
taking her with me, but I think it is unfair
to her because of the length of time in
quarantine
Kind Regards
Jessica

A PLEA FROM
US TO YOU: CATS THAT HAVE SPENT
THEIR ENTIRE LIVES IN CAGES |
|
CatPals has several cats
ranging from 3 to 7 months old urgently
needing homes.
Some have been in these cages all their
lives and are starting to stress and become
depressed!
As a no-kill shelter, we simply have to find
them caring homes. They are well socialised
and litter-tray trained. Some have already
been sterilised. We do not charge for them,
but the adoption package of R485 includes:
first inoculation, deworming, microchip and
sterilisation.
If any of these babies speak to you, won't
you make room for them in your heart and
home? Doreen, their care-giver, is hoping
and praying to hear from you. Please call
her at 082 4977 938 or email her at
Doreen@catpals.co.za |

I’m a sweet girl and one
of my foster mommy’s favourites. I will
make a fabulous pet.

This is not a good pic because I am a very
active boy! Unusually handsome because I
have some Burmese blood in me. Shy but very
purry when stroked.
|

A stunning marmalade, he is now 7 months
old. Affectionate and playful, watch out for
your toes!

I’m playful and mischievous and longing
for my own home…. |

ANNITA'S
KITTIES NEED HOMES - UPDATE |
|
Hi Everyone
These kitties are all in my foster care.
Please forward this mail so I can find them
wonderful permanent homes.
FELIX is a 2 year old charcoal coloured
tabby male, who has been sterilised. He is
very mischievous, loves sleeping with his
head on your shoulder, demands attention and
acts like a baby when reprimanded – you have
to pick him up, tip him onto his back and
kiss his face. He is stocky and walks like a
tiger. He is petrified of dogs, so he has to
go into a home where there are no dogs. If
there are other kitties, they need to be
able to stand their ground with him, as he
is quite rough.
JACK is a 2 and a half year old Abyssinian
type male, who has been sterilised,
vaccinated and chipped. He is a playful, but
cheeky and only eats Hill’s pellets. If he
is given other food, he goes on strike,
looses weight and gets sick. He does like
certain treats.
ROCKY is a white and black 5 month old boy
who was abandoned in a complex. He loves
human attention and growls at all the other
kitties when they get too close to him. It
is a protective thing rather than
aggressive. He loves playing, loves the
outdoors and absolutely loves his soft food
and treats. He follows you around like a
dog.
SKUNK AND CUBBY are 2 male kittens of 10
weeks old – ginger & white and champagne.
They are siblings. Skunk demands love and
attention, whereas Cubby is gentle and rolls
over or pushes his head into your hand when
given attention and affection.
Please contact me if you would like to find
out more about any of these kitties, would
like to visit them or are interested in
adopting any of them.
Thanks and regards

URGENT |

These angels were dumped on
me and I have run out of space and money –
they will soon stress which will result in
low immunity and they will get ill, PLEASE
HELP FIND THEM GOOD HOMES URGENTLY!
All of these cats have been sterilized,
vaccinated, de-wormed and are treated with
Revolution for external parasites – very
healthy and 1 - 4 years old.
Crystal is a Siamese Snowshoe type, with
enough sense of humour, affection and
playfulness for 3 of her. Not good with
cats, but loves people.
Scruffy looks like a Russian blue boy,
wearing a tuxedo – very debonaire and so
gentle and affectionate.
Shadow (black) and (brothers) Snow (white)
must go together as snow is very sweet and
demure and Shadow loves to call the shots +
they love each other.
Tahina or Tai-Tai is a sweet and playful
angel, who has to sleep on the bed with you
– great with children, not cats.
Bless you for caring

2 Female cats need home - Jo'burg |

I am desperate to find a home for my two
beautiful baby girls. I am going through a
divorce and am unable to keep them.
They are 5 years old and healthy, loving
cats, are sterilized and fully vaccinated.
Photos attached.
Gabriella (the small one) has no tail, she
was born like that but is perfectly healthy
and very sweet.
Leia is the bigger one, and although she can
be a bit shy, she is loyal and adorable.
I love these girls and it is breaking my
heart. Where possible I would love for them
to stay together.

Whisper

Smokey
|
|
These kitties are all
looking for loving forever homes. Some come
from disastrous circumstances and will need
lots of love and patience to help them
flourish in a normal household.
Sushi is a 9 week old silver tabby male. He
is a gentle little lap cat.
Garfield is a 13 week old ginger boy, who is
going to be huge. He flourishes when he
feels safe with you. A vocal, but soft
natured boy.
Whisper (female) & Smokey (male) are
siblings of 11 weeks old. They are extremely
small kitties that have grown in the 6 weeks
that I have had them – apart from round the
middleJ Both come from a warehouse where the
owners were trying to kill all the kittens
in the warehouse. They just need to know
that they are loved and safe. Whisper loves
her soft food – screeches for it. Smokey is
a quiet gentle boy.

Bugs -
Gauteng |

|
Cat Name: Bugs
Description: Black with white on his chest
and paws, with a little smudge of white on
his nose. He is just over a year old,
neutered and microchipped, and gets along
well with other cats. We do not have any
children or dogs, so it is hard to gauge how
he would handle them. He loves spending time
outdoors, and absolutely loves being
brushed!

Unfortunately we can only take 3 out of our
4 cats to Australia with us. We feel that
Bugs will settle into a new home a lot
easier than the others would. This has not
been an easy decision and we are going to
miss his easy going and loving nature.

Loving home
needed for rescued kitten |
|

|
Hi all
This little lady is urgently looking for a
good home.
She was very sick and had difficulty
breathing when she was rescued about 3weeks
ago. She responded very well to medication
and is now healthy. She
has a soft, shiny black coat and sparkling
yellow eyes. As soon as she started feeling
better it became clear that this kitten
loves to be healthy and alive. It's as if
she knows she's been given a
second chance. She is bursting with energy
and enthusiasm, and enjoys every moment of
every day. She loves to play, loves to
explore, loves to
eat, and most of all she loves attention.
She's extroverted and talkative and
interacts very well. She's about thirteen
weeks old and has already been sterilized,
dewormed and vaccinated. All she needs now
is a loving forever home. If you are
interested in adopting her, contact Mia on

MISSY &
BIGEARS |
|

I am searching for a special
home for these two loveable babies that have
never been outside on the grass or in a
tree. They were rescued as tiny babies when
their other sibling was killed by the dogs
on the property where they found. They were
kept in a backroom for 4 months and have
been in a flat for 2 and a half months.
Missy is a longhaired Tortoiseshell female
of 9 months old.
Bigears is a ginger male with a difference
and is Missy’s brother.
The two are very demanding of affection once
they know they can trust you and behave like
twins with each other. Both have been
sterilised.
If you have the patience to allow the two
kitties to flourish in your home, please
give me a call on Annita - 083-6340069. They
can be re-homed separately if necessary. |

I desperately need to help someone in
finding homes for six adult cats! The owner
died the other week and her husband 18
months ago. The children are 20 and 16 and
have moved in with their aunt (my sister in

Sally has found homes for the other 2 dogs,
but I have had no luck with the cats.
I attach photos of three of them but there
are six in total and we need to get homes
before the people who are currently staying
in the house move out.
Please can you contact your network and see

Ginger and
fluffy white cats, Jo'burg |
 |

|
|
These two beautiful kitties
urgently need a new home by 17 May 2010.
Their owner is emigrating to Melbourne,
Australia.
Here is their info:
The white & tan fluffy female kitty is Dinky
(18 months old). She is spayed and is very
playful. She is quite shy, but very sweet.
We found her when she was a kitten - a stray
of only 8 weeks old. Our other cat, Diesel
brought her home about a week after his
sister died and they have been inseparable
ever since. Dinky thinks that Diesel is her
mom/dad and follows him everywhere. Diesel
has cared for her and groomed her etc ever
since she was a little kitten.
Diesel is a broad striped ginger male of
about 7 years old and is neutered. He is
very loving and gentle. He is still very
playful and gets on well with any other
animals. He adapts to new strange animals or
people instantly and is not at all skittish.
Dinky and Diesel still play together every
day for hours.
If you are able to give these two babies a
wonderful new home, please contact Michele
Kerrigan on 083-4476554. They are situated
in Northriding, Johannesburg.

Joey the cat
needs help |
 |
Meet Joey…
This brave boy has been through a lot, and
he needs a special place to go to.
He was rescued from extreme conditions about
three weeks ago. He was in a
poor condition - thin, hungry, and afraid.
Being a white cat without
shelter he spent his days exposed to the
elements - especially the blazing
sun. He had sores on the tips of his ears,
and on the mucous membranes
surrounding his eyes and nose.
After being rescued he was taken to the vet,
who was willing to give him a
chance. Since then the sores have healed,
and he has gained weight and
self-confidence. He is loving and has a
sweet, gentle nature. He has also
been sterilized, inoculated and dewormed.
I’m desperately trying to find a suitable
place for him to go, where he
will be able to stay indoors, avoiding
excessive sun exposure on his
sensitive skin. I’m praying that someone
will open their heart and home
for him, or offer him a suitable place to
go, such as a sanctuary. If this
doesn’t happen I will have to choose between
taking him back, or having
him euthanized. I really hope it won’t come
to that.
If you can help, please phone Mia on 082 573
7505, or e-mail on
gerhardmia@lantic.net .

Ella
has been let down AGAIN !!! |
|
I am heartbroken as ELLA has been let down
again !!!!
Last week LANGEBAAN ANIMAL CARE followed up
with a visit to make sure that everything is
going well with Ella and her new family and
we were assured that there were no problems
and that they were thrilled to have Ella as
part of their family ...... so we were
completely floored when over the weekend
they brought Ella back .......
PLEASE , PLEASE help me find Ella's FINAL
and FOREVER family as sure this little girl
is now completely confused and traumatized
with her being passed around the way she has
been ..... she has even had 3 names .....
There were a few folk who also indicated
that they would be interested to adopt Ella
and I cannot remember who you were so please
if you are still interested , would you drop
me a line.
Dogs are often misunderstood and we often do
not take into consideration the past that a
rescue orphan has been through and most
times instead of trying to change the dog ,
just by changing our attitude , approach
etc. the dog will 'tranform' before our very
eyes. Watch the DOG WHISPERER on DSTV - we
have alot to learn about our four legged
friends !!!
LANGEBAAN
ANIMAL CARE rescued this precious little
girl
(before and after pic) from owners where she
was living outside , come rain or shine ,
in the sand with no shelter and hardly any
food. Little Ella , was so neglected that
part of
her ears are missing as they were literally
eaten away by flies.
She was about the size of a tiny Chihuahua
when rescued.
She seems to be doberment-cross ?
She has been adopted but as she has grown
into a bigger dog than expected
the family would prefer that we find another
home for her ....
Ella still has 'issues' with food and
becomes very possessive and bit aggressive
but would we not also if our past experience
is that we not know when we would get
another meal.
With love and patience she will come round
and leaving food out all day would make a
huge difference.
PLEASE call if you can help Ella find her
forever family ....

DAWN , PET HOPE
faces Municipality coming in to remove her
rescue dogs !!
Dawn , PET HOPE is an amazing ONE WOMAN
NPO registered ANIMAL WELFARE / RESCUE
St Helena Bay/Laingville - West Coast
As PET HOPE does not have a kennel facility
Dawn has been nursing and taking
orphans/rescues into her home for the past
+/- 8yrs and her doggie head count at the
moment is 12. She runs a twice weekly clinic
and is always on call for any animal
emergencies with her often traveling up to 3
times a day with a sick or injured animal to
the vet in Vredenburg.
For years Dawn has had NO PROBLEMS with
neighbours complaining about the dogs but
recently a new tenant moved into the area
and he is making a fuss with the
Municipality which lead to Dawn receiving a
visit by 2 Municipal officials with a
written warning that if they receive another
complaint , which is bound to happen , Dawn
faces the possibility that the Municipality
will come in and remove some of her rescue
orphans , who have now become much loved
'family members'.
Despite her receiving verbal consent some
years back that she could keep 10 dogs as
some of the dogs are brought to her by the
Municipality they are now telling her that
she has to reduce the dog numbers or else
.....
Before any of the dogs are removed by the
Municipality , Dawn has made the sad and
difficult decision to try and find a good
home for SHEBA and KLONKIE. Below find their
stories and please call if you can help.
KLONKIE : 2 yrs

Klonkie was rescued from a rubbish dump when
he was a few days old. Dawn nursed him back
to health and he has now grown into such a
lovely natured dog who is good with cats and
other dogs and would love to go to a home
where he has lots of space to run and go for
regular walks. Klonkie is tall and lean 26kg
and a real happy boy despite his sad start
in life !
SHEBA : Born Jul 2005

Medium size, 10kg grey and black female.
Gentle loving little dog, rescued at 10 days
old, bottle fed and been with Dawn for 5
years. Good with cats and other dogs.
So sweet ...
DOG & GOD - a lesson in love !

Kitten dumped
at feral feeding point (Pta) |
 |
Hi All,
This poor kitten of 14 weeks has been dumped
at one of my feeding points. She is tame but
terrified of the horrible ordeal she went
through.
If you would like to adopt, kindly phone
Waterkloof Animal Clinic at 012 460 4742 as
she is staying with them.
Please help us to find a home for her.
Regards,
Tricha |

This tabby mom came
from a warehouse at the harbour.
Her kitten is a very playful black
and white boy. Mom is very laid
back

Gina and her baby
(female) belonged to a destitute
couple living in Montclair. One of
our volunteers provided food for
their animals, but they were
evicted and had to give them up.
They are both silver tabbies and
are very affectionate

Mom and baby
(female) were abandoned at TAFTA
park when the kitten was just born.

This pretty pale
tabby mom has 2 daughters (approx 9
months old) who are a bit skittish
with people but adore their mom.
Mom is very friendly and loving.
Mom could go to a home on her own
or they could go as a family to a
stable situation
