A R50 monthly sponsorship to a kitty colony of your choice is all it will take to keep us purrrrring! You will change our lives forever and we’ll keep you updated every month on how we …. and most importantly our full tummies …. are doing.
Sometimes our barking friends need a little food and Tricha helps them too. We aren’t jealous because they’re just as furry and friendly as we are. Can you help them too?
Tricha uses 1000kg of cat food and 90kg of dog food per month. We receive donations of 300kgs of cat food per month but there is a shortfall of 700kgs of cat food and 60kgs of dog food per month. If we work out the amount of food our tummy’s need every month, it works out to 2 – 2.5kg per tummy per month.
If you sponsored R50 per month, that will feed a cat for one month. Yummy yum …. We’re excited again!!!!

FORA is a registered, non-profit organisation (NPO 29775) situated in Luipaardsvlei. We adhere to a strict no-kill policy and operate on the three R’s principal – Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome. We offer a “home-for-life” to those animals not fortunate enough to be rehomed, where they can live out their days free of pain, abuse and neglect.

- Perhaps you could make a deposit.
Our Bank details are FORA – Nedbank. Florida Branch code 190541. Account no 1905 151 209.
Alternatively, go to the FORA website www.fora.org.za & make your deposit from there.
If you can sign a debit order (from R10 per month) that would be wonderful “ please contact us and we will deliver a form. - “ Come to the shelter and fall in love with one of us, cute puppies and kittens or house trained adorable adults!
- Volunteering at FORA is a wonderful experience and gives one so much pleasure to be able to help all the animals who have had traumatic experiences or are just lost and unable to get home. We do not euthanase any cats or dogs and care for the animals if not adopted by giving them somewhere to live for the rest of their lives. Our adoption rate is good but there is always one coming in for the one that finds a home. All our animals are sterilized treated by vets if required and are healthy, happy and up for adoption to forever homes after strict home checks are done.

FreeMe is a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for indigenous wildlife based in Paulshof in the North of Johannesburg that was founded in 1997. We are a non-profit, self-funding wildlife centre.
Members of the public, SPCA’s and local vets, bring compromised indigenous wildlife to the Centre. It caters largely for birds as well as small mammals such as hedgehogs, mongooses, suricates, and smaller cat species e.g. genet, caracal, serval etc. Antelope cases include duiker, springbok, and steenbok. Reptiles are also rescued and released e.g. tortoises, leguaans, snakes and chameleons.
FreeMe strives to promote a responsible attitude towards wildlife and the environment through educational programmes, newsletters, publicity and advice.
Educational talks and presentations are made to schools to instill conservation values in learners for the future preservation of nature. Community involvement includes exhibitions and lectures to citizens, bird clubs, retirement homes, and farmers.
FreeMe relies on the generosity of the general public for their continuing support.
Donations are gladly accepted!!
FreeMe is open 7 days a week from 8:00am to 5:00pm for admittance of cases or telephonic advice.
