Emergency Notice

| December 28, 2011

I have always had a terror of what would happen to my cats (inside cats) if eg the house were on fire.

I found that other cat-a-holics have the same fear and I decided to make a sign to put up on my door in case of emergency.

I did find a sign to this effect on the internet but wanted to add the number of cats in the house – so I decided to make a similar sign using the same wording, different pictures and leaving space for the number of cats to be added.

This is the sign I made. This sign can be printed out and laminated. Then write the current number of cats in the space provided with a permanent koki-pen (so that it can be changed when the number of resident cats change) and it put up where emergency-workers will see it.

Of course you can write the number of cats in before laminating if your number of cats is fairly stable. A lot of us do find that our number of cats change a fair amount (due to rescue work or even when breeders add to their breeding cats) so writing it on with a koki after lamination allows for changing the numbers when required.
