I understand that sterilization is an extremely important issue with regard to pets as unwanted cats and dogs is not only an issue in South Africa but the world.

This is why I can not understand how the council or whatever other veterinary group does not regulate the vet charges on sterilization.

I have just tried to price spaying of my cat. It now cost over R900. This is simply crazy.
It only cost R350 5 years ago.

Vets are supposed to be pro-animals. People are eventually going to be unable to afford to have pets because vet bills are so high.
