Letters: Ellie Porter – Persian cat named Tasha

| December 30, 2011

Hi I have a half Persian cat named Tasha. She has the most beautiful gentle nature and is so pretty. I gave Tasha to my daughter when she started school at age 6. My daughter is going to be 28 this year which makes Tasha about 22 years old. I would love to know what is the longest a cat can live up to. Tasha has over the last couple of months become deaf. She cries for me a lot as she can’t hear where I am. Her eyesight is good. She eats very little and only Hill’s Science Diet and even then she brings up. She is becoming very thin but is still very agile.

I would also like to know how will I know when she is suffering. I must admit she is the first thing I look for when I get home from work as I am sure she is going to go soon. I am dreading the day. I also have a Persian Tequila he is a big boy and also adorable.

Maybe a reader out there could give some advice regarding my fading Tash.
