Letters: Mariana Booth – Kierals shot with a airgun

| December 29, 2011

Kierals is a Ginger boy. I have rescued him al the way from Johannesburg to Table View in Cape Town. He became such an  a handsome boy, but unfortunately some cat killer in Table View decided to take a shot at him with an airgun. At 23:00 the evening we rushed him through to the vet. The following day the extrays confirmed everything.

He under went an operation. His right hand back leg’s top bone was in bits and pieces. His got a pin in it. The pellet of the airgun was flat, flat, flat. This means he was shot from a very close distance. Could even have been in our own front garden. Reason why: I heared a noise in front and went to our bedroom. Our bedroom faces the the road and we always keep our window open for our cats to come in very quickly. He was sitting in the window. After picking him up, I discovered that my hand was covered in blood. The whole evening he was with us. He just left us for about 2 to 3 minutes.

The case have been reported at the police.
His is mobile again and with his two new Russian Blue Buddies he is such sweety pie. He his our soft spot.
